Unfurling Slowly Into Spring

Let me unfurl slowly into this spring season.

Let me carry along the gifts that came during winter hibernation.
All that I learned and all that I remembered.

Let me leave behind that which no longer serves.
The fear I moved through, the anger I released, the trauma that no longer haunts me.

I unfurl slowly into this new season with a deeper understanding of love and forgiveness.

As I slowly emerge, along with budding pine cones, brilliant wildflowers, joyous bird song, and warm embrace of sun,
I am reminded once again of the inseparable blessings that exist equally within grief and celebration.
